01 - Bhp vs Flow e-1510 5A 3550 rpm Discharge DP.xlsx is the base case. It is a pump that was a best first cost selection (vs. best life cycle cost selection) controlled based on a sensor piped across the suction and discharge headers. 02 - Bhp vs Flow e-1510 5A 3550 rpm Remote DP.xlsx. This is the best first cost pump (the existign pump) with the speed controlled by a sensor located at the most remote load. 03 - DP Sensor Addition v1.xlsx. This is a projection of the cost for adding a remote DP sensor that is done in a tool we use to develop control system pricing on a cost per point basis using historical cost. You could also do this with an itemized approach similar to the one illustrated for adding a pump in 06 - Adding A Pump v4.xlsx. 04 - Bhp vs Flow e-1510 5A 3550 rpm Trim.xlsx. This is a similar spreadsheet to the first two but comes up with the bhp vs. flow relationship for doing a trim and respond strategy. 05 - Trim and Respond Programming v1.xlsx. This is the cost projection for doing trim and respond programming using the per point cost tool. 06 - Bhp vs Flow 1510 5E 1750 rpm Remote DP.xlsx. This is a similar spreadsheet to the preceeding but it looks at the relationship for a pump with better efficiency that is controlled by a remote DP sensor. 07 - Adding A Pump v4.xlsx. This is an itemized cost approach for projecting the cost of adding the more efficient pump. 08 - Flow Profile and Summary v2.xlsx. This takes the load profile for a plant (the one in my SketchUp model, which has it's roots in the measured profile from the San Diego Marriott before they built the exhibit hall addition) and applies the bhp vs flow relationships for the different pump control strategies to it. There is a summary table with the results. Y as Powers of X v3.xlsx. This is a tool that illustrates the SCE affinity law coefficients that are another approach to estimating energy savings for optimizing the set point for a variable flow pump along with a tool that interpolates an exponent for a specific situation based on the SCE data.
